Aria will not enter set-up mode

Hi Community,

I recently purchased an Aria (not Aria 2, just FYI) ... removed the little plastic tab that is inserted into the battery compartment and the scale showed "0.0" ... stepped on and it displayed my weight. Then removed a battery for 10 seconds, put it back in and the scale simply displays "0.0" ... i.e. it did not enter set-up mode either initially, immediately following the removal of the little plastic battery tab or subsequently after removing a battery, waiting 10 seconds and then re-inserting the battery.

So for right now it just works like any other scale ... i.e. displays weight. Has anyone seen this behavior?

Many thanks,
Tim.

@TimzH   I am sorry if I misunderstood your first post.  Are you saying that you went through all the steps to add your Aria to your account, but didn't get the SETUP ACTIVE display on the scale when you expected it?

It might be better for you to contact Support to get help faster.  The Aria hasn't been available from Fitbit for some time.  Based on the reasons that bring people to this site, I just think you will get a faster response.

Hello @TimzH and a warm welcome.  I am attaching a link to the Help article that includes a video on How do I set up my scale.  Be sure to tap on Aria, because the steps are very different for each scale.

Hi LZeeW,

Thanks for your response. Noted, there are differences between the Aria and Aria 2 in terms of setup (in general), however, what is common to both is temporary removal followed by reinsertion of a battery to initiate set-up.

Many thanks,

Tim.
