Aria won't connect to new WiFi network

I have an Aria scale, probably the earlier model since my wife and I have had it for several years.

We got new internet service from Spectrum last fall, with a new wifi router... the Aria scale seemed to still be working with it's setting for the old router, however my wife was having trouble syncing her Charge 2 to it, and having incorrect date and time on it.

So attempted to reset it, with all the hi-tech mumbo-jumbo nonsense of pulling a battery (needed replaced anyways), doing a 10-30 second hokey-pokey dance, saying a Hail Mary, etc to get it to connect to the new router with the correct wifi name, using the fitbit app on my iphone 7, connecting to the inbred Aria wifi, but no connection could be made... just kept showing the "SETUP ACTIVE" on the round Aria screen... but would not go any further.

I deleted the Aria scale from the devices on my fitbit account as well as my wife's fitbit account, thinking maybe this could be part of the problem.

But the Aria setup was still not connecting.

I read about possible issues with the legacy 802.11b protocol, but the new Spectrum modem with both 2.4G and 5G wifi networks is suppose to be backwards compatible.

Since the Aria scale appeared to be working after the internet change to Spectrum, and it was looking for a network with the old name of my prior internet router, I decided to change the name of the Spectrum 2.4G to my old name to see what would happen.

I did the Aria setup again, and it appeared to work using the old name that must still be in its internal settings... hard to tell for sure.

When I stand on the scale, it appears to work, but thinks I am a "GUEST".

Tried adding the Aria scale to my fitbit account, but I could find no way to do it... every attempt I made, involved trying to setup Aria like a new device, and going thrue the "SETUP ACTIVE" nonsense, which constantly fails.

I also tried using the SETUP that I downloaded to my PC Windows 7 laptop, but that didn't work either.

So I would like to know the following:

1. How do I get the Aria scales back on my iphone and my wife's iphone ?

2. Why does the "SETUP ACTIVE" fail to connect no matter what I try ?

3.  It would be nice to use the real name of my wifi network and not something buried inside the Aria scale... how how how ?
