Aria won't connect to public network

I only have access to a public network for the next few months as I am staying in a hotel.

 

When I try to hook up my Aria scale to it I get to the screen attached.

 

"To better protect your privacy, we recommend that you only associate your Aria with a secured wireless network."

 

The public network doesn't show below. I'm not concerned re privacy, if the NSA want to see how fat I am then fair enough. 

 

Is there a way to force Aria to connect to this public network or any other work around?
