Aria won't connect with my WiFi network

I have upgraded my home broadband and now my scale wont connect. I have been on with support who said that it is because my wifi protocol  is 802.11n and not 802.11b. I have spoken to EE about changing the n to a b but they have said it creates a backdoor into the router and isn't recommended.

 

What other options do I have because other than not being able to connect, the scale works perfectly fine. Seems ridiculous that in this day and age a scale can't connect to a wifi.

I don't know what "EE" is. If your new router does not support 802.11b you are out of luck. The Aria was designed when that was the current protocol. It's not a software update.
