Aria won’t sync over public WiFi

I just moved into an apartment building, brought my scale, went through the connection to the WiFi but I won’t sync. I managed to get it synced after the initial connection but after that it won’t do it anymore. I kept getting “no sync” so I tried reconnecting to the network again but now I get the X over the wireless symbol. I don’t have access to reset a router. I don’t know what else to do to get my data synced. Anyone have any ideas here I would appreciate them. Thanks.

Btw: the one thing I have noticed when setting this device up over others I’ve had to do since moving is that the second authentication doesn’t come up that I need to key in that level’s credentials. I have added the device to my account using the MAC address but it’s not helping.

@Lumpypuddin Welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with the setup issues that you are experiencing with your Aria scale. By the way, thank you for trying some workarounds before contacting our forums.

Since you mentioned that you moved to an apartment, please let me know the following details: Do you share the router with other people in the building or do you have your own router? Are you able to check out the router settings? The router needs to run the protocol 802.11b. bandwidth 2.4GHz and the WiFi password needs to be alphanumerical (without special characters).

This information will help me to assist you accordingly.

Looking forward to your response! 😀

I have no access to the router for the community. I am unable to determine what protocol or bandwidth it’s using. I just know how to connect and that the scale doesn’t sync properly, if at all.

I’m sorry, so can you help me or not? I’d really like to get my scale working again.
