I have I think the aria 1 scales. Possibly 2 not 100% sure. Recently I've been having problems. where if I weigh my self the scales fail to up date with what I assume is a failed WiFi connection. I've reseated batteries and the irlt appears to work but then the batteries barely last a week. I had been using cheap batteries so I made sure I used Duracell batteries. I put them in last week. Just had the dodgy WiFi link so reseated the batteries and now got a warning the battery is running low. Does this mean .I need to look at buying new scales. I've had these since August 2015.

@Koopa79 Welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry for the late response and I'm also sorry to hear that the batteries you've used with your Aria scale are not lasting as long as they should. Each set of batteries should last up to 6 months.
I'd like you to try the following workaround: Please take out the batteries of your scale. Then clean the contacts of the scale with a cotton swab and a little bit of alcohol. This will remove any dust that the contacts accumulate. After this, put the batteries back in a d see if the batteries last as long as they should.
As a side note, please check out this post, which lists the differences between the Aria 1 and Aria 2.
Keep me posted on the outcome!

@Koopa79 Thank you for getting back and taking the time to try the recommended workaround.
Since you mentioned that you have the Aria 1, I'll move your case to the Aria 1 board in order to keep the Community organized.
Don't hesitate to get back if more assistance is needed!
