Can I use the Aria as a standard scale?

I have the FB201B model and read that I need a modem with a B signal to be able to have a connection between the scale and my network. I  have a newer modem that does not have the B signal, can I use my Aria scale as a standard scale ? If so, how do I bypass the setup on the scale.
