Can't connect my Comcast XFinity router with Aria

I've tried going into the router settings and the option to select 802.11b is greyed out.  Has anyone moved into a new home and been able to get their Aria to work with comcast/xfinity routers?  How can I get the Aria to work, short of buying a new Aria 2?
