Have an old Aria scale. On my Windows PC, I set up an account with Fitbit. Then it told me to setup the scale by taking out/replacing the battery. The scale started and said "V38". Then it tells me the network it is connected to (which I don't use anymore). It says "Tap to change". But I don't know where/how to "tap". After a few seconds, the display goes dark and the scale becomes a "dumb" scale again. Then I followed the instructions on the FitBit web site and used my iPhone (no more than 1' away) to try to hook up with a new network called 'Aria', But there is NO new network shown. So then I loaded the FitBit app on my cell phone. It told me to "push the button inside the battery compartment of the scale. But my scale has NO button inside the battery compartment.
There is a tiny hole on the underside of the scale that I assume to be a 'RESET' hole, but I am afraid to do that for fear that I'll lose the 'dumb' scale funcitonality it still has.

I tried the white button with no success.

How can you just type in the new network since the white button does not work?

I have been trying for hours. The connection will not go through. It is maddening. This process should be simple. 😞
