Cannot set up or sync Aria since moving to Google

I replaced the batteries in my Fitbit Aria scale and it kicked back to "Setup Active."  Went through all of the setup steps and received "No Sync" on my scale.  No matter how many times I attempt to setup I keep getting the same message.  I tried to setup through the fitbit app instead of fitbit.com/scale/setup and am told to upgrade my device with no way to click through.  I wonder if the "no sync" is related to the fact that I recently switched to my google account for fitbit as I've seen older posts stating that if they attempted to login with their facebook account it didn't work and they had to login in with email address and password.  Is this possible?  Am I just out of luck and need to buy a new scale?  My Aria has been reliable for years and I really don't want to have to dish out for a new device.

Happening to me too. Aria worked June 1 but since then I ended up transferring to a Google Account after the app bugged me. Tried it today and the app was showing Aria sync time of today but the user was Guest on the Aria and wouldn't change if I tapped it, and none of the weights seemed to be uploaded to the account where you can reassign them.

Tried removing it from my account and setting it up again but the Aria just shows that No Sync message when trying to connect to the account.

Found a message on here from a few years ago saying to log in with the email/password to get passed this error (that was about Apple ID), but that is no longer an option after transferring to Google Account.

Might give it a couple of months or so for them to potentially fix it before exploring other options.

Mine won't connect either.  It's been a pain since I got it.  I haven't used it in ages and cannot connect to either my laptop or my iphone.  It does not show up as a wifi choice to connect to when directed to in the set up.  It doesn't appear on either my phone or windows laptop.  I'm less than ten feet from my router.  I do have a new router since I got the aria and figured I'd have to reconnect but it won't even give show for me to connect to.  So frustrated

Interesting that your air isn't working either. I was contemplating buying one if I couldn't get my original Aria to work, but if it's an issue with all models I might look at something else that syncs with my Fitbit and MFP accounts.

The Wyze X is getting great reviews and is quite a bit less expensive.

I migrated to Google a few days ago and ever since then my scale will not synch to the fitbit app. Please fix.

Having same identical issue since migrating to Google with my Aria 2 as well

Same problem. Is there any solution. Google shouldn’t have prompted us to migrate without providing such in details consequences given they knew I am using their Fitbit aria for almost a decade. Yet another lovely company being run aground by google leaving paid users like us stranded. I raised a complaint o with fitbit via chat and all I got was a service ticket 🙂 as they said they will send me an email once they have a solution. Until then how do they expect us to use their ‘smart’ scale ?

Pls get your act together google

Just got my Aria Air in the mail, not knowing it would not sync. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one (well, not glad, but you know misery loves company and all). I thought I was losing my mind. What is this transfer to Google anyway? Seems like that is the issue.

I called customer service just now - wow. Very noisy call center where you could hear other service reps quite clearly. The guy listened to my problem and (I think) said someone would be calling me back in 48 hours. How is that customer service?

I’m experiencing all sorts of issues since migrating to Google; Fitbit not syncing without having to turn Bluetooth off/on, not getting a sleep score despite loads of data being captured, but also not getting detailed sleep stats sometimes. Literally only experienced these since moving over to Google.
I’ve actually given up on getting the scale to sync, just glad I got it cheap with my Fitbit!

I have had this issue since 1st July 2023 ?!

anyone have experience with a Wyze scale reporting info to Fitbit? I’m trying one in lieu of being stonewalled by Google re: Aria Air not synching.

Seems like a viable alternative that works for half the price.

I ended up going to Target, buying this (see picture). You do have to scan a code every time you weigh yourself, but it syncs instantly with the fitbit app after you set it up through the Weight Gurus app. Kind of nice because it also gives you % body fat, % muscle mass, % water weight (what do I do with *that*???!!!) and BMI. Plus it was about $15 cheaper than the AriaPXL_20230814_182504958.jpg

Hi…

The App Store Reviews are really bad for the Weight Guru app….glad you’re getting good results. I’m going to look at it but not sure Google deserves the effort to consolidate into their Fitbit app.

I suspect the reality is Google wants the data and will eventually pull the plug on the Aria Air hardware scale. The Wyze app is compelling and easy to use….thinking Wyze for weight metrics and tracking. Lot of great nutrition apps out there as well. Going to return the Aria Air within the Amazon window. If, when, Google comes back into the market they will compete for my business.

Thanks for your positive response!
