Changing WiFi on Aria

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I’ve moved my scales from my main house out to the annex, which runs on the same WiFi but through a TP link, so I need to change the WiFi on the scales otherwise it’s not registering, how do I do this? Or do I have to delete it and start again?
thank you

On the phone app tap on your profile photo icon (top left) to get to the options page. On the options page tap on the Aria tile to get to the Aria options. Scroll down to Wi-Fi Setup and tap that to update your wi-fi connection.

I wish that were the case.  I have two Aria scales that work fine.  However, I had to change WIFI in one location.  When I attempt to go through the normal steps to re-setup the scale in order to push the new WIFI codes, in the Fitbit App Aria setup, I am greeted with "Whoa there, we've discontinued software updates for this device. Certain features may not work as expected" and that all!  No options to proceed to setup the scale or do anything.  A complete dead end.  It is one thing to not provide any more software updates but it is another to completely prohibit use of the product that you own...that all it needs is the wifi info.  Fitbit must have too many customers now.  This is how to lose customers that have been with you from the beginning.  This is how to ensure that a loyal customer never buys any more Fitbit products.  Is it too late to take the 3 new trackers back to Costco that I just bought last month?  Angry customer.

There is no WiFi setup in the Aria options on either my iPad app or my Android phone app.  I can see my users, recent weigh-ins, scale name and weight units but that is all.

Same issue and frustration as you. I have an aria that need to be set up again after changing the home wifi.

After some searching I found the setup page and it still works. Here's the link in case someone else needs it.

That link definitely worked!  (twice! Had to move then switch providers).  Had to remember when the instructions say "switch your device wifi to Aria", change your COMPUTER wifi from your home network to Aria - never touch your phone!  Doing this gives your scale a screen to find available networks.  Your home network will appear in a list (give it a second...lol) then connect and click to move to next screen.  Prompt will say switch your device (computer) back to your home network to complete the connection.  Done 🙂

G'day Paul876,

Thanks for the link.  Excellent.  Sadly, now that it is 2023, neither my iMac nor my iphone will allow me to finish the set-up 😞  The Aria "network" is unsafe so I am not allowed to re-connect.  That is, phone connects to Aria, good.  Change wifi back to home network and I am told I am not allowed to connect to the Aria.  Not even through the "I understand the risks" option.

Any solutions community?

Thanks 🙏🏻 at last I can stop manually entering weight on my WW app if this works for me. Noticed my fat % had decreased recently so now I want to record the changes. I was nearly 50% and now 38% … better and a work in progress

G'day community,

Apologies for replying to my own post.  However, I have just discovered that the set-up actually worked!!  I stepped on the scales and noticed I got a tick indicating that the data had been uploaded.  I was surprised as I thought the error message I had received meant set up had failed.  Not so!

Worth checking if your internet connection throws an error.

Cheers.

Thank you!!

New ISP installed yesterday, and I thought my Aria scale was a goner. Glad to have it reconnected again!
