I have had my Aria 2 for many months. I am still trying to set it up. One of my frustrations is that it isn't built like other people's. The front looks like an Aria 2, but the back is bumpy and it has four batteries and no reset button. I don't know know what's going on there, but it seems I can’t reset in a normal way. The bigger problem is that the app won't recognize the scale. At one point, I got the scale to connect to my Wi-Fi network, and it's still connected. But every time I try to connect through Bluetooth, it's a no-go. The app asks if the scale is on, even though it is, and I'm standing or sitting right next to it.
There are other issues, like the error message I get when I stand on it, but that's a problem for for another post. Please help me. I'm about to chuck this scale out the window along with my Alta. It was no picnic getting that set up either. I invested a lot of my money into these products, and if I can't use them because I can't set them up, then I guess I need to invest my money more wisely. It shouldn't take me so much time to get them to work properly.
Update: I figured out that I have an Aria Wifi Smart Scale. This doesn't help me with my problems, but it does clarify the type of scale. I still can't get anything to work, and I'm still planning to throw it out the window. Please, please help!

@jamescarne19415 the key to why you can not find your WiFi still be found in your post.
You don't have the right WiFi.
Your isp provides the modem, the only thought I have would be to go on Amazon, Ebay, Wich.com or some other site and buy a used or new WiFi point that has the right version. They should be under 20 USD

On the bottom of the scale their will be a model number. This will tell us which scale that you have.

I have the same scale and same problem. White scale with Aria 2 front and bumpy bottom with 4 batteies and no reset button and I can't get it to find my network after connecting to the Aria network in the setup. Other blogs mention that my WIFI mode should be set to 802.11b for fitbit to to read it but my ISP does not provide that only 802.11G/N 802.11N 802.11A/N/AC 802.11AC 802.11N/AC.. I was on the phone with my ISP for 2 hours and we tried all of these and my scale never found my home network. MODEL#FB201W. Nowhere on the package did I read that it only works with specific ISP's!!!!!! I'm so mad...

Thank you for this clear explanation. I will investigate what to buy and whether I can set it up with our current router. If it doesn't work, we might be able to update the one we have to accommodate the scale. I have no idea, but at least I know for sure what I'm dealing with.
Thanks again.

Something like this is all that is needed. Hard wire it to your existing router and your good to go.
You can find it cheaper on enact and maybe you're local computer repair place.

I was able to go to Walmart and buy a $40 cheap router. I plugged it into the gateway modem/router from Xfinity. When I hooked that up the new router I bought had a 2.4 GHz B/G/N mode and the Fitbit was able to find it immediately.
