Hi everyone! It has come to our attention that some users are experiencing issues with syncing/setting up Aria scales with Comcast/Xfinity routers and we are currently reviewing.
There is a workaround that has helped most users. For this, follow the instructions below:
Thank you all for your patience. Any update available, I'll make sure to share it in this thread.

This post indicates that these steps have helped "most" users. I have followed these steps and it's still not working. Is there another solution?

This workaround isn’t working for me. I just want to update my network. So frustrating!

EDITED
It's not a matter of enabling or not enabling B mode. The scale should work with G mode anyway. Something else is wrong with Comcast and Aria. Unless someone very technical from Comcast or Fitbit devotes extra time to it, it won't ever be resolved.

There is no way to do this on the comcast site. Is this fixed yet? I am not able to get my Aria to sync and very frustrated that it is so difficult

The solution does not work for me. After saving the 11b option still does not show up

I just figured out how to do this. But before I explain it, let me hit a few things that failed for me.
I am a Comcast customer and recently switched from my old apple router to Comcast. I noticed that the aria didn't work anymore. I tried everything in the Comcast settings, even going into the router itself and changing it. I can confirm that Comcast by default does NOT enable B. Now...while I DID enable B in the Comcast router, this did not work for me. Annoyed, I did more research. I confirmed the aria manual that I needed the B router to set it up. Since I couldn't get it from the Comcast router, how could I do it?
Well, I decided to plug my apple router into my Comcast modem. But let me note, its not that simple. Plugging in a wireless router into another wireless router makes an error and the internet WILL NOT work on the new router. Now, I could either disable all the wonderful Comcast features that the router has and use the standard apple router I have for years OR.... I could convert my apple router to an ACCESS POINT. I decided to do option B. While it wasn't to hard to do, it was a simple of a drop down box to do so. I then originally tried to do radio mode: "802.11a - 802.11b/g", but ODDLY that wouldn't work. It pissed me off. But there was another option . "802.11a/n - 802.11b/g". Interestingly, that worked perfectly!!!
SO to recap for TLDR and step by step
1.) I obtained my old router.
2.) Plugged it into my Comcast router
3.) I went into the router setting and converted the following: A) Router Mode: Off (Bridge Mode). B.) Network Mode MUST be "Create a wireless network". C.) Connect using "DHCP". Aria does NOT SUPPORT Static connections. So make sure its DHCP. And I am not sure if this part is required, but I used the same password for my Base Station and Wireless password. Essentially echoing the Comcast modem.
End result is it worked. :-). Hope this helps someone.

As I've mentioned before on this thread, this is the solution that works for me too. Use an old router, set it up as an access point. Don't even mess with the comcast router settings. Instructions here <https://www.howtogeek.com/104469/how-to-extend-your-wi-fi-network-with-simple-access-points/>, or google "use an old router as an access point."

Agreed. Very disappointed that they did not set up the Aria like the Fitbit my Fitbit has no issue with Comcast. They have not done an acceptable job with support and do not seem interested in fixing it. I’ll never buy another one 😡

I have a Comcast wifi gateway. Trying to connect to 2.4, I have gateway set to b, g, n. Password is 22 char, nothing but letters. Scale is four feet away from gateway. I'm so sad that the Aria has become a regular manual scale.

This work around did not work. I do not have an old router any longer so can’t do that work around either.
So, my solution was to toss my $130 Aria in the trash and purchase a Renpho for $30 on Amazon! I will NEVER purchase another Fitbit product again! Nor will any of my friends/family. I wonder how much business Fitbit is losing because they chose not to fix this issue!

I have tried this multiple times and spent multiple hours trying to fix this. I do not have the B option on my router i am only shown g/n or n.
Has this been the issue for anyone else? deeply bothered by the fact that I have this scale and cant use it.

I did this on the phone with a Fitbit rep, twice, still didn’t work. They advised me it was with Comcast/Xfinity Gateway Router. Xfinity didn’t know what I was talking about when I called them. My Aria is still without WiFi. 😩

Well I am a “real person” and I was able to do it. That said, I am a little familiar with router settings, and a little bit techs, and after putting my hand through a wall and inventing some profanity, I was able to get it by using an old router as a channel. That said, it’s a horrible way to do it, and the whole process has resulted in me and my wife to stop using fitbits all together, get apple watches, and eventually I plan on dropping this **ahem** scale. As sad as that is, all because poor Fitbit support.
