Hi everyone! It has come to our attention that some users are experiencing issues with syncing/setting up Aria scales with Comcast/Xfinity routers and we are currently reviewing.
There is a workaround that has helped most users. For this, follow the instructions below:
Thank you all for your patience. Any update available, I'll make sure to share it in this thread.

I am most sad that I am unable to attach my Aria to my new Xfinity network. I do not have the technical expertise that seems to be needed to go to Xfinity, change settings, etc. It would seem that Fitbit needs to do a software upgrade of some type to accommodate users of the Aria or something else. My former spectrum wifi continues to show up and when I tap to change, the scale immediately goes into weigh mode. I can see the Aria on my xfinity Wifi network, but nothing is connecting. Giving up for the day.

Don't even try. They work one time, or not at all.

Quite sad that even with all the complaints Fitbit will not fix the issue. Yes I bought the Aria new and it worked until it stopped working. I believe the incompatibility is with the Comcast router as when I brought it to my sons house it worked. He has Comcast but not the Comcast router.
If you are the right person with the right service it will work but heaven help you if you make a change.
The Renpho scale I bought works perfectly, cost a whole lot less and has way more features. Don’t waste your time and money trying to trouble shoot. When for $30 you can get a great product that always works

Like this solution, but unable to do it. Did not anticipate the issue or I would have kept my old router. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Yes, looks like I will do the same thing, using other apps. Sadly, I loved my Aria and tracking, but hate going backwards in a world that is full of IoT!

Does anyone know if the Aria 2 will work on Xfinity?

I have an Aria first generation and never had an issue with it worked well.
Now I see it will not longer connect, and wonder if Aria 2 will connect to
xFinity

The only solution that works easily is to add a router to your xfinity router or do not use the xfinity router. Every other fix is a pain and not guaranteed to work.

Sue, do you know which model router is the problem? I have the Xfinity Wireless Gateway 3 and it still allows the 802.11b network to be activated on 2.4GhZ under a different SSID. Now that I got mine working, I wish I could help others but I'm unclear what Comcast is doing to disable 802.11b. https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/wireless-gateway-3

@jal333 wrote:I just started with xFinity this week and have been unable to get my Aria attached. Does this only happen with the newest routers? I see your message about changing the settings on xfinity, but have concern about downstream capabilities after I make the tech change. is there a long term issue if I make these xfinity system changes?
No long term issues. Having 2.4Ghz equipment on your dual band network will slow it down. Having a separate SSID for the slower equipment is a good idea in the end. I posted a screen cap of my Xfinity settings in the forum here...

I am in Canada I do not have the Xfinity router I chatted with Fitbit and was given the numbers required to connect to their server and was told to contact my ISP. I contacted my ISP the tech guys adjusted the numbers as given to me by Fitbit and still I am not able to connect. This is a Fitbit issue they need to fix it they have everybody going in circles trying to get their scale Connected. Notice that the Fitbit techies have not replied for several days to these problems and that’s because it is a Fitbit issue and they’re doing nothing about it pressure needs to be put on Fitbit to support the equipment they took the money for and the clients that are relying on them

It’s been a while, and there are a lot of replies and comments on this thread, but I think I remember seeing someone who said the 2 did not work either.

b is not an option on my router. It is set up to auto-choose from 2.4 Ghtz 802.11 g,n or 5 Ghtz 802.11 a,n,ac. It is their newest modem/router as of this past winter
