I have been trying for days to get my Aria Scale to Connect to my router and then to my Fitbit App. I have read everything and tried everything even emailed fitbit to no avail. When I try to follow instructions the information does not match the information I see. I'm using iPhone 14 with iOS 17.0.3. I have ordered a new scale from a different company but have been determined to try to get this one to work. Thank you.

I am not knowledgeable on wifi protocols, but I have read some to say that the older Aria scale does not link with new routers because of newer wifi protocols. I have also seen someone else say that there is some workaround for this but it didn't sound simple. I wouldn't be surprised if this is your problem. I have seen people post of having problems reconnecting their Aria scales right after getting new routers.
If it is truly the original Aria scale, you might want to just chalk it up to being (I forget the appropriate word for made extinct by new technology). I know there are several other brands of scales that do link to Fitbit for reasonable prices that seem to do just as good a job as Fitbit scales ever did.

I am having this exact problem today. I had to change my batteries, and now I've spent a couple of hours or more on this. Seems that the scale will not connect to the wifi. Aria 2 is still supported (or at least I have not found anywhere that it is not), so I should not have to purchase a new one. I've had this for 4 years and never had this issue. I'm awaiting an email response from an 'expert', after having an online chat with a representative who did the best that they could.

I have been trying for months to get my Air to connect to my app. I WAS getting email help, but they stopped communicating and then closed my case. I just tried to email again and, lo and behold, they don’t offer support by email anymore. You have to use the forum, which I tried already and was of no help. I am giving up and I will NEVER purchase another Fitbit product. I have to manually log my weight into the app, which really defeats the purpose of having a smart scale. I wish you luck!

You are going to be waiting a long time. They no longer have email support. P.s. mine is new and I’m having the same issues.

Yes, I know. I've had mine many years, when they first came out. I'm waiting for an email from an expert with instructions after talking on the phone to Fitbit. As I mentioned I ordered a new scale from WW and will discard this one.

Thank you. I forgot that I did get an email saying they did not support through email any longer. I won't buy another Fitbit product either.

Since Fitbit was taken by Google there's no customer support. Basically, the humans who actually are providing the data that Google bought are not important. To be able to sync the scale with the account that is now moved to Google, the Fitbit account holder needs to allow permission. Since we can't access that account anymore ... No means of getting any support on this topic, this is a fraud in the eyes of the consumer.

I finally got it synced and working on my Fitbit App. However, don't ask me how because I gave up and checked the next day and it was working. I had followed all the instructions they gave. Now I'm trying to get the other person in my house hold synced again, which so far hasn't worked. I have not moved to Google. Thank you.

Looks like I am in the same boat then as I have an old Aria scale and I have tried everything to get it to connect even turned off my security in case that was causing the drama and still no good. Every time I have emailed I get the same message back and saying I have not tried everything. Its really driving me crazy. I will look for the cheaper scales then that maybe hook up with fitbit

The Fitbit App experience with all of their scales has always been frustrating and it’s now no better with Google. PATHETIC!

I don’t know what happened, but after months of using it as just a scale, the batteries went dead and when I replaced them, it started syncing with my app. This is nice, but I doubt I’ll buy a Fitbit product again due to lack of actual customer, persona to person, support. Google ruined Fitbit as far as I am concerned.

I'm experiencing the same thing, and the instructions take you for an endless loop. Very frustrating!
Aria (original scale). Stopped connecting before I upgraded the modem, and still doesn't connect after.
P.S. Google shoulda not have asked me to fill out a satisfaction survey at this point. I gave them quite an earful!

https://www.fitbit.com/scale/setup/start
This seemed to link my scale after changing passwords in the router. However, currently the scale will take a weight, and then ask BF? but does not show body fat. As others have mentioned you need to take the batteries out for a minute and then put them back in to enter WiFi setup mode.
