I just bought the original Aria online from Fitbit and noticed that all the documentation dictates that the setup is done with your phone or tablet. There are many articles online that talk about using a Wifi connection. When I follow the instructions for connecting to the home Wifi I cannot seem to get into the setup stage.
I did successfully connect to my phone via Bluetooth (I assume) but there are limitations to this. 1st is that I seem to have to reboot my phone each time I use the scale. I'm assuming that connecting to my car's Bluetooth during the day will interfere with the scale's connection.
So is there not a Wifi connection any long with the original Aria?
Ok, so after some detailed research it appears as though there are 3 generations of this scale.
Aria
Aria Air
Aria 2
I have the Aria Air which has Bluetooth but not Wifi.
Aside from having to reboot my phone, it works quite well.

I am having the same issue. I've done all the steps. Is my scale too old?
