Just set up my brand new Aria scales. Had it in its box since 2017, so I suspect that may be the problem. Managed to set it up and it’s connected to the WiFi and showing on my Fitbit phone app, but when I try to weigh myself it says ‘Senstep’ repeatedly. Should I conclude that it won’t now work because it’s been in its box for 5 years? Don’t really want to buy another if it can be fixed.

you have one of two problems.

either a broken foot inside the scales or a busted rubber band.

Its a crap design by fitbit to use such fragile parts in such as an expensive set of scales.  I just threw out 2nd aria scale in the bin as the rubber band broke and unfortunately couldnt find a suitable part to replace it.

Thanks for replying. 
I thought it was something serious!

I will chuck this Aria and go back to the traditional type. Can’t stand things that don’t work, drives me nuts.
