Fitbit Aria doesn't get passed from "Setup Active" message

Since December, my Fitbit Aria will not work. I have had it with no issues for about two years, but recently, It continues to say setup active on the screen, but will not let me set it up.

I've changed the batteries three times and pressed the reset button. I’ve also tried setting it up as a new device multiple times. I’ve even left it for a few moths hoping it would fix itself. It also no longer syncs.

I encountered exactly the same thing, tried for hours to reconnect to my wifi, just won't reset, won't go past Set Up Active... This model is not supported any longer.  Hopefully someone has come up with a solution.

@JessNic @gilliah Welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry for the late response. However, I'd like to follow up on the setup issues that your Aria scale is experiencing. Thank you by the way for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

I'd like to know if you have tried pressing the 2 lower squares of your scales firmly with your hands after taking out 1 battery and the scales display the "Setup Active" message. If you already tried this, let me know and I'll be happy to assist you accordingly.

Looking forward to your response! Smiley Happy

I have tried pressing the two lower sides of the scales and get the "Set Up Active" message, taking out the battery for 10 seconds or more, but nothing connects, I have tried this about 5 times without success and spent approx 5 hours trying every method possible.  Ended up giving up on them and bought the Aria 2, if the same thing happens I will not purchase these scales again.

@gilliah Thank you for getting back! I'm sorry about the experience you had with the Aria 1. However, don't hesitate to get back if you need further assistance with your Aria 2.

As a side note, please visit this help article, which contains the setup process for the Aria 2.
