Fitbit Aria not recognizing me as a user

Hello, I have checked the help article and still stuck a bit.

I've been manually correcting the weigh-in assignment on the Aria for about 3 weeks daily to my profile but everyday I'm still recognized as a guest.

Should I reset the Aria or is there anything else I can try?

@Charlc Welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your Aria scale is not recognizing your user. In order to fix this issue, please take out the batteries for 15 seconds and put them back in. Once this has been done, weigh yourself 5 times in a row in order to re-calibrate your scale.

Finally, check out if your weigh ins are assigned to your user properly.

Keep me posted on the outcome! Smiley Happy

I was having the same problem.  Applied the fix and, voila, it’s back on track.

Thanks Juan, I tried those steps but it still recognized me as a Guest after the 5th weigh in.

I ended up removing the Aria from my profile and doing a fresh setup, it now successfully recognizes me.

Thanks!

I tried your solution to remove the batteries for 15 seconds and then weighing 5 times in a row but the scale still shows ERR after thinking and sensing.

I am really frustrated with this Fitbit scale. It took me forever to get it to link to my new wifi setup and now I have this issue. Fitbit is using very old technology. If you want to keep customers you're going to have to enter the 21st century technologically speaking. Very disappointed and frustrated. On top of everything else your "tech support" people are clueless. All they do is read from a script. They are not technicians with any knowledge.

Fully agree, implementation of Aria 2 is horrible.  In my case my partner cannot get this thing to recognize her as other than guest.  I've been through all the troubleshooting steps app resets etc still no joy.  Works ok for first user, but getting second or more seems to be mission impossible.  Fitbit your instructions are awful!!!!  Let's get this fixed, you'd kill the market if you just put some effort into tech support and product improvement.  Very disappointed, considering send this back.

I bought an Arboleaf digital scale on Amazon for less than half the cost of an Aria. It is great and it integrates with the Fitbit platform. Also has its own app.

I gave up on Aria. Save your time and headaches and get an Arboleaf.

Hey thanks! Yeah I’ll check this out, slick looking but not worth the cost.
