I no longer have my fitbit and have recently received an apple watch. I still use my Aria scale, is it possible to link my scale with my apple watch or my apple health app?

I see no reason why these two products cannot be used together. The Aria is a wireless device. Fitbit must not want this to happen. I'm on my third Charge the first 2 were straps breaking. The third is a Charge 2 and I've had to replace my band already. Now the sleep portion just gives me the basic report, no REM or deep sleep. I'm thinking of replacing everything with an Apple Watch and Withings scale.

You can also use the Lose It! app to sync  the Health app and Aria scale.

The whole point is that we should not have to use ANY App in between these devices. Health accepts other Scales and Devices natively.

This shows how Apple and Fitbit are not working to make a seamless integration for their users.

Agree totally. It connects by Bluetooth and Wifi. So why so difficult?

OK I solved my issue between the Fitbit Scale and Apple Watch.

I Bought a New Withings Body+ SmartScale from Best Buy win sale for $69.99. It had a $100+ MSRP.

I now have seamless integration between my new Scale and Apple Watch and iPhone. Wished I had done this a year ago.

Bye Bye Fitbit forever.

I manage to sync my Aria2 scale with Apple Health using the Lose It App and service which you can download from the App Store.
That’s also the Apple official recommendation.
you sync your scale data with Fitbit which automatically syncs with Lose It that syncs with Health. It all happens within 5 seconds.
Hope this will work for you like it worked for me.

No sir. You missed the point. I already had a third party app linked in like you mentioned. Fitbit should sync automatically with Apple without using a clunky third party App.

I moved in from Fitbit. Threw it to the curb. Withings is now my favorite Smart Scale. It goes directly into Health without having to go through a clunky third party app and extra step.

Bye Bye Fitbit!

No need to throw your scale in the trash, apparently IFTTT we’ll make the connection for you.

Do you mind sharing how?

Just create an account at https://ifttt.com/ and click create.  Under this, search for Fitbit, give it access to your Fitbit account, and select new weight logged.  Under then, search for ios Health, and tweak any of the default settings.

There might be a few details, but IFTTT should guide you through anything you need to do.  You may also need to have the IFTTT app loaded on your iPhone.  If it doesn't reliably trigger, there's a trick using location services to have it run more often.

I've had to reconnect it a couple of times in the past, but it seems stable now.

It looks like fit bit edited out my comments. I was one of the first posters on this topic.. When I had apple and fitbit I just used a simple third party app from the apple store that transfered all my data from Apple to fitbit and vice versa... I can't remember the name of the app though... I went back to android a few years ago....

Rick I went through all those steps and thanks why I call this clunky.

I got rid of the Fitbit scale months ago and went with a Withings Scale that works seamlessly with my Apple Watch.

Nope! If you read the entire string then you would know I did all those things.

This process sucks!

I gave away my Fitbit scale for free! I bought a Withings Scale that works smooth as glass with my Apple Watch. I refuse to work with clunky processes.

I work for MAJOR Software Company so I know what is going on between Apple and Fitbit. I refuse to be a martyr between these companies.

ope!

I did all this and that’s why I said It’s clunky.

Never again. I gave away my Fitbit scale because this process sucks. I’ll never buy another Fitbit product again.

I purchased a Withings Scale that took care of all the clunky issues. And it was much more affordable than the clunky Fitbit Product.

Exactly... People don't realize that Google bought fitbit and this is a continuation of the Apple vs Android war...

My Ionic fell apart and all was offered from Fitbit was a 25% discount off a new one, now we are stuck with the scales also... very sad

It's very disappointing that you have to pay to get out of Fitbit's ecosystem 😞 (I mean, pay for a new scale)

The real reason why people are switching away is that nothing really improves around Fitbit, feature-requests are sitting unattended for years. Things like this only make people angrier. Sadly, I don't think those who went away will ever come back.

i almost thought i wrote some of these! tired of fitbit dying days after warranty. its the only consistent piece. my aria scale seems to keep going - maybe they will allow link to apple once nobody is silly enough to buy their 5th fitbit.
