Hello everyone!
I know this is a hot topic and I have been through all of the support articles, and related threads, but I'm just not finding a solution. I had my Aria since 2015 and here and there I remember running into connection issues. I recently moved and I brought my scale with me but I never connected it to my new WiFi until recently. I tried different set up method: the set up for mac program, set up through the internet browser, set up through a mobile device, and for each set-up, I cannot get past step 4: where it connects to the WiFi. It just says ERR and the scale goes back to SETUP ACTIVE. I have comcast WiFi 2.4Ghz network. Password and WiFi name are all alphanumerical. The scale is in close range to the router. Has anyone else had a similar issue? I had the same internet type at my old home with comcast, so I'm not sure why it won't connect this time.

I have the same issue. I have tried two different Aria scales. I have gone through the set up protocol more than a dozen times and the scale reverts back to the beginning of the set up just as yours does. I also have a relatively new Comcast modem. My guess is that the scale does not communicate properly with this particular modem. Fitbit customer service is pretty well unavailable via phone. I have given up on the scale. The Fitbit wrist monitor works fine.

My wireless network was recently set up by a Comcast technician. I don't know how to change the settings. What you have to go through on this solution is ridiculous. I have a lot of devices (thermostats, etc.) which I easily connected to my wireless router. Fitbit needs to change the Aria so it quickly and easily connects. I have tried two different Aria scales without success. I am through wasting time with this. I do intend to have the new Comcast "mesh" wireless router system installed whenever it becomes available in my area. Perhaps the scale will work then. Until then, this scale is a waste of time.

@RPNC Thanks for getting back! I really appreciate your feedback regarding the setup process of the Aria scale. In order to change the settings, you can go ahead and ask for help from your Internet service provider since they explain how to change the settings.
Let me know if more questions arise my friend!

There is no solution in your response and yet you have a link in there if the solution works? Realy?
This is ridicules!
I can read many messages on this issue where people are trying hard to reach out for help. I had the same issue and Fitbits response is worth than poor. They deserve a downgrade in their reviews.
Should you find a solution please let me know. I will do the same. Good luck to both of us.

Your "ACCEPTED SOLUTION" is NOT a solution. Please provide a solution to Aria not being able to connect to a new WIFI connection.

I purchased a new wireless router and set it up, connected all of my other devices to the new router. The Aria scale still will not connect. The scale is a poorly designed product, in my opinion.

@gravy6 Thank you for participating in our Fitbit Community and it's great to see you here @RPNC! I'm sorry to hear that your Aria scales are not syncing with your network. I want to follow up on your cases and would like to know a few details so I can assist you accordingly: What is the make and model of your router? Does your WiFi password contain special characters? Have you made changes to your network settings?
@rachelkharr Thank you so much for your feedback and comment!
Catch you all later!

@RPNC Thank you for getting back and providing the details requested. Regarding the network settings, I meant if you made changes e.g. protocol or bandwidth. Please make sure that the protocol that your router runs is 802.11b and the bandwidth is 2.4GHz. This information can be reviewed with your Internet service provider.
If those settings are correct let me know and I'll be happy to assist you accordingly!

@RPNC I definitely understand how you feel about the setup process. However, I want to turn the bad experience you've experienced with your Aria scale into a good experience. Since the issue persists, I'll forward your case to our Support team so they can investigate further and provide a solution for this issue. You should receive an email from them soon.
Let me know if you have any doubts!

Dear team,
am I understanding correctly that I cannot use my Aria to connect to a home network because of using: Netgear Orbi, 802.11ac? Should I just scrap the device then? 😕

@SunsetRunner Thank you for joining us in this thread! I would like to follow up with your inquiry about the Aria compatibility with Nathear with protocol 802.11ac. The Aria connects with protocols 802.11b or b/g/n. Are you getting any error message when you try to set up your scale? Have you tried changing the protocol to 802.11b?
Looking forward to your response!

Accepted industry standard is: Discover your wi-fi network, enter your password, and connect.
I am not interested in wasting any more time with my Fitbit Aria.
Thanks,

I totally agree with you rachel. Fitbit has made 0 effort with regard to connectivity issues on fitbit one.
I have had one for years and I have never been able to connect. This issue may be resolved with fitbit 2 but I'm not spending another 100 to find out.
Clicking on the link "GO TO SOLUTION" does nothing.
This product is junk. Don't buy it.
