How can I change my initials on Aria after setup?

When I set up my scale I didn't know that my initials were supposed to be specific to me and used my boyfriends. I can't figure out how to change it now. I see where to change the scale name but not where to change my initials. Is this not possible?

You can change the name in the phone app, under device settings. I hope that helps.

@SamanthaBetsy A warm welcome to our Fitbit Community! The steps that my friend @Mixin_DJ shared are totally correct. In case you need to do it through a PC, go to your Dashboard, click on the "gear" icon located at the upper right corner of the main Dashboard. After this select the Aria scale, click on the tab that says "People", next to "Measurements". You will find an "Edit" option under your name and you will be able to change your initials.

WHen I go to display name it lets me type a new name but there is no way to update it

@danedal Thank you for joining us in this thread and our Fitbit Community! Seems odd that your Dashboard doesn't let you to change your initials. I would like to know some details: Is it showing any error message when you try to update your initials? Have you made sure that your initials are in capital letters?

If possible, provide a screenshot of the page where you are trying to update your initials.

I'm also running into the same issue on our iPhone apps. Once you get to the page to change your display name and you type your new one, then hit "enter", the keyboard goes away and nothing happens. If you back out of the page then your changes are not updated. Can you confirm if this is a bug?

@antaholics Welcome aboard to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry for the late response and I'm also sorry to hear that your initials can't be changed either.

Please make sure that your phone has the most recent Fitbit app version installed. If the app is up to date, log out of the app, restart your phone, open the app and log in. After this, try changing your initials again and see if the issue doesn't happen again. As a side note, make sure that they're 3 capital letters.

Regarding your question, we haven't received reports if this is a bug.

I had the same problem with a previous users initials on the scale.  I have completely reset the scale, new wifi etc.  I step on the scale and the old initials appear, even though I created new initials.  I go to the desktop and log into my dashboard, go to the gear icon, I see my name and my initials are correct, but they do not match what the scale is showing, even though it does show my current activity so I know its current and updated.  I don't want to keep seeing my ex boyfriends initials everytime I step on this scale, please tell me how to fix.  I am the only 'people' on this scale right now.
