How do I get the Aria Air to log on the Andriod Fitbit App?

I installed the latest Fitbit app on my Andriod and bought a shiny new Aria Air scale. It synced once when I installed the battery. But then it hasn't been synced since. When I go to the App says "step on the Aria to synch." I do, and nothing happens. The little Bluetooth symbol on the Aria is there. I've tried clicking on add weight and that too says "step on the Aria to synch" and nothing happens.

If I take a battery out and put it back it still doesn't synch. I deleted the Aria and reset it with the button and again, it synched once and that is it.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks, I'm still stuck. I've spent 15 minutes every day for 4 days trying to get that scale to actually register on my app.

Well I fixed the problem by returning the Aria Air and buying a Wyze Smart Scale (https://amzn.to/3NoQqVy). The Wyze works great, collects more data, and synchs with Fitbit and Google Fit so all the data is available and tracked.
