How to: remove Aria from my account?

It seems the last post on this was from 2014, and the app is now completely different - so none of the previous answers are true anymore!

Can somebody talk me through how to remove Aria from my fitbit? I need to do this so I can try setting it up again to get it working on my wifi...

@TrixieTexas It's good to have you aboard in our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that you decided to stop using your Aria scale. Regarding your question, please log in to your web-based Dashboard. After this, click on the "gear" icon which is located at the top right corner of the page. After this, select the Aria, select the tab "People and you'll see a list of the users that used the scale. Please click on the trash can icon that is next of each users' initials and the Aria should be removed for every user.

@ClacTom It's great to have you aboard in the Fitbit Community! In order to remove your Aria scale from your account, you need to go to your Dashboard (Via web-Dashboard only). Click on the "gear" icon, select the Aria scale. Select the "People" tab and you'll see the list of the people that are using the scale. Next to each user, there is a "trash can" icon and click on it for every user in order to remove the scale and you can set it up again.

It still show up in my app...not my web dashboard.

Best Answer

@Christophersen It's great to see you in our Fitbit Community! Seems odd that your web-based Dashboard is not showing your Aria scale. Please try logging out of your account, after this log back in. By doing this, your Dashboard will re-fresh and should show your Fitbit devices.

Same here, I've tried everything mentioned as well.  This shouldn't be this difficult. I loved the concept of the Aria but since I've changed routers it's been of no use to me.  Such a waste, would not recommend to others for this reason alone.

Best Answer

@MochaMartha It's good to see new faces in the Community! I understand that you feel frustrated due to the setup process with the new router. Please visit this help article and make sure that your router has the correct settings that are needed for the Aria scale. Once this has been done, try the setup process as described in this post.

Thank you for sharing the requirements and step by step visual setup
instructions. Unfortunately, they are the same steps I tried repeatedly
yesterday to no avail. My router protocol is an 801.11ac bought
purposefully for the speed. However in order to utilize the Aria, I would
need to take a step down from my current router to accommodate the lack in
technology of the Aria. How unfortunate for myself for the money I've
wasted and for you for losing a customer who had the intention of
purchasing several FitBit items for friends and family. If you happen to
come up with something else I could try please share "my friend". 😒

I went on my dashboard and do not see a way to deete the weight icon. My scale is still showing even when I logged out and went back in. When I remove it, it only “hides” the icon. I need to remove the scale to re-install.

I may not need to delete if I can just get it to connect to my new phone.

I have done this. I have also tried to "reconnect" and I get a "WiFi error" message on the scale. I tried new batteries and still have same problem.

I've gotten rid of my Aria entirely and would like to have it stop showing up in my device list. I can't figure out how to remove it entirely.
