How do I remove these perosnal icons such as rockets, pigs, trolls etc. from the Aria 2?
It is not possible to know who is weighing in anymore.
Where are the initials so that you easily can see who it is?
We are 4 people using the weight, and who remembers whether you are a pig or a rocket? Though, I smart enough to remember my initials....
I have looked everywhere on where top change from icon to initials but I am not smart enough for that task...
So please help me out here....

@xxxxxyyyy The Aria 2 only uses icons and you cannot change to initials.
I am taking a wild guess here, but I suspect this change might have to do with weight privacy. When two users are close in weight and the scale can't decide, you get a "?" with feet icons "telling" you to step off. An user icon appears with an x on the left and a ✓ on the right. If it is your icon, tap your foot on the right side of the scale. If not your icon, tap the left. Seeing initials is identifiable.
You only need to remember your own icon, because everyone else is not you. You can see all user icons by doing the following -- Tap on Account > Aria 2 > People Using This Scale.

Thx. I just realised that you have the sign to the left and to the right of the icon, which you could tap.
However, I also just realised that this is the community answering and not FITBIT themselfes...
Though, your answer makes sense; even though I have no problem showing my weight to the rest of my familiy. Odd that this is an issue 😉
Difficult to remember icons when you dont use the weight everyday. Should be a personal choice whether to use icons or inititals.... Anyway, thank you for answering!
By the way: My Aria2 congratulated me in achieving my weightgoal after 24 hours. It was reduced with 60kgs or 130 pounds overnight...my 6 year old son stepped on it...made my day. Back to the coach watching the worldcup; no need for excercise here... 🙂

@xxxxxyyyy Thank you for joining us in this thread and our Fitbit Community! The information that shared my friend @LZeeW is totally correct and accurate. For more information about the icons shown on your Aria 2, please check out this help article.
See you both later guys!

Just purchased an Aria 2 to replace my ailing Aria 1... BAD MISTAKE!
Not as accurate - and as others have said, who cares about privacy in your own home? I want my initials, not a **ahem**ed icon to identify me.
If it can't be fixed pronto, I'm taking it back for a refund... there are lots of other WIFI scales out there - and all are considerably cheaper, with a much longer warranty.
Come on, Fitbit - what about it?

@TropicalTom Welcome to our Fitbit forums! I'm sorry about the inconvenience you noticed about the Aria 2 since it shows an icon instead of initials. I understand how frustrating this is for you and your feedback is greatly appreciated since this helps us to keep improving.
Since you mentioned that you decided to take it back for a refund, I would like to help you with the accuracy issue if you haven't returned it.
Please try restarting the scale by taking out the batteries for 15 seconds and put them back in. After this, weigh yourself 5 times in a row. Make sure that your scale is placed on a hard surface and you are standing on it barefoot and let me know the readings are more accurate.
Looking forward to your response!

I greatly dislike the icons. Let me choose between initials and an icon. Also tapping for the "check" or "x" is easy to miss, and it doesn't loop back to the start so the weighing goes to "guest". It's a pretty terrible interface.

So, it can't be *removed*... but is there any way to change it?
For example, I mean, just hypothetically... say if I accidentally selected the cat as my icon, but now my wife is upset because that's the icon she wanted?
Is there any way for me to go back in and edit my icon to, like, the sailboat for example?
Which would free up the cat for her to choose it?

@JakeTX Yes, it's very easy to change your personal icon. Tap on your profile picture on your Today screen > Aria 2 > People Using This Scale > your name > Edit Custom Icon. Your current icon is highlighted and your wife's name is under her current icon. Make your new choice. It will immediately free up the cat for her.
