Just chucked my Aria.

Just wanted to say goodbye to FitBit. You have been a great company up to now, and it's a shame your 'service' has brought me to this. My family (and I paid for all of these devices  so we will all be leaving) has used 7 of your devices over the last 6 years, we have been loyal customers. I liked your products and usually purchased the top of the line products you offered. No more. Your failure to accept responsibility over a failed product is the end of our relationship.

I promise you, I was the consumer you wanted. Discretionary income, a desire to be fit, and a community of relationships that share my passions. I could have been a living testimonial of your greatness, instead I will now advertise the opposite - and I'm quite persuasive. I don't know what it would have cost you to take care of me and to make good on a defective product, but do I know it was nowhere near what turning your back on me will cost you.

Good luck to you in the future, I hope you are very successful. You'll just have to find that success without me.

I'm in the same boat saying goodbye to Aria 1. Disappointed that I can't trade-up to Aria 2 but even if I did, it doesn't sound like there is much improvement in the stability of wifi connectivity.

That said, I'm getting the Nokia/Withings Body+ scale a shot. It's cheaper, and from what I've read so far is reliable and supports the latest wifi standards. Hopefully Fitbit responds and improves their products and customer service. If nothing gets better, I'm moving to Withings.

Good luck!
