My ARIA 2 isn't as accurate as my ARIA 1 was 😞
I take my Aria 1 with me to my DEXA scans. I weigh myself on the scale right before the scan and compare the results. I've had 7 DEXA scans over the last two years and ...the BF% is always within 1 - 2% of the DEXA result. Huge selling point for this scale...a $125 everyday scale is almost as accurate as the gold standard which costs minimum $125 per measurement!
However, I just got an ARIA 2 and it's consistently 3 - 5% higher than my original ARIA 1. I'm ready to take it back. Any suggestions?
I've already recalibrated it twice....no luck 😞

Hi there @athikalaker , welcome to the Community Forums!
We appreciate the feedback regarding the differences you've noticed between Aria and Aria 2.
Since you're mentioning that your Body Fat % is the one that is showing about 50% different. I'd like to share with you that, Aria 2 has two modes to calculate body fat.
The default is “regular” mode, which applies to most people. This mode works well for people who don't get a great deal of exercise as well as those who exercise frequently.
“Lean” mode is intended for professional or very high-level athletes like marathon runners or body builders. Individuals with exceptionally low body fat relative to their muscle mass may want to consider lean mode; however, many very fit and active people get accurate readings in regular mode.
If the mode you selected appears to be giving you an incorrect body fat percentage reading, try switching modes.
Please follow these steps to switch your scale's mode:
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

@athikalaker I'm sorry for the late response. However, I appreciate your time in trying the re-calibration process and making sure that you are using the "Lean" mode already.
I'd like you to make sure of a couple of details: Is your Aria 2 placed on a hard surface? Are you stepping on the scale barefoot?
Finally, please check out this help article, which explains some tips that help to get more accurate readings from your scale.
Looking forward to your response!
