No data under recent weigh-ins

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Ever since the new app, there is no data being recorded in the recent weigh-ins tab under your scale in the new app. This is a problem with the integration of the new app and Fitbit/ Google need to fix this as you cannot reassign weight to the correct person. If it is recorded as a guest which you used to be able to do perfectly fine under the recent weigh-ins tab.

I've already tried to run through all the resetting factory resetting adding back to the app, weighing myself 500 times and so forth. No data ever shows up under the recent weigh in tab in the new app. This is an issue on the new software of the app and a fix/ update needs to be done already or Google needs to replace everyone's scales to ones the will correctly show all weigh-ins in the Fitbit app.

I have the same issue. I have been able to successfully re-add the Aria device and it shows in the Fitbit iOS app. I step on the scales and now get an "ERR" message but the app shows a time stamp indicating that the sync has occurred, by but there is no data showing. I suspect this has been deliberately broken by Google who think it will force me to buy a new Fitbit scale. Sorry, never gonna happen. I'll never buy Fitbit crap again. Nothing but trouble from the outset.

This week I finally noticed that my weight has not been logged since mid July 2023.

I see others have this issue as well. I really like my Fitbit Versa 2  watch and my Aria 2 scale.

Someone from the company needs to respond here with a concrete fix for the scale now !

I've highly recommended Fitbit to many friends in the past with confidence and enthusiasm.

Don't make me a liar. Fix the problem and be proactive in doing so!

I have the same problem. I just bought a new tracker and trying to get back into a healthier life style.  I updated my phone app and paired my tracker without issue.  My Aria 2 scale, which has been pretty trouble-free since its purchase 2 or 3  years ago,  reported no problem connecting to wifi and the app said it had synced in the past few minutes but there was no data under "recent weighins".  I reconnected to wifi, no change.  I took the batteries out, reconnected to wifi, re-weighed myself,  got a checkmark.  Phone app says the scale synced 2 minutes ago.  No recorded weigh ins. Yes I can write the weight in but I bought the Aria 2 so it would sync with the tracker app.

Same for me.. just downloaded the very latest update but the issue is still not fixed it seems 😒

Same situation here. Typical level of app testing from Google before they roll crap out. A shame Fitbit got assimilated by the uncaring and incompetent Borg.

Is there still no fix for this? It worked fine until somewhere in October 2023 and now it's a mess... The whole point of having a FitBit scale was so I didn't have to log weight manually...

Not a fix, but a partial workaround: the new guide (https://www.fitbit.com/settings/guides/aria2) says:

If two people connected to the scale have similar weights, tap Aria 2 to select your personal icon.

On my Android app, I can select the Aria 2 device, then tap "Users" (View scale users) and see a list of user names and icons. From the fitbit website, I see 3 letter abbreviations, but no icons.

Anyway, if the weight isn't recognized, the scale does flash and sequence through the personal icons. It was some time ago, but I recall something like an "X" on the left and an icon on the right, and you're supposed to tap either the left or right side of the scale to either go to the next icon (tap on "X"), or assign the weight to that icon (tap on the icon on the right).

But as far as I know, "guest" weighins are still vanishing without a trace.

Well, my scale recognizes me, does the send of data, which seems to be dumped into the data void. It NEVER makes it to fitbit.com and my dashboard. Since it never made it, there's no way to have it load to my app.

Same issue with Aria gen 1. Refuses to recognize any weigh-in activity.

After 4 support technicians I got a response that they know about this issue.  That was 3 months ago... no fixes in sight, no apologies then or now.  I would have thought them breaking the software that came with my scale working flawlessly until Google came along would mean they'd maybe give me a discount on a new one but nothing.

I saw a deal for an Aria Air and bought it since a family member has a medical issue now requiring daily weight measurements and logging. Unfortunately, they have to pull out their phone, open an app, go to the today page, then step on the scale, read the weight and manually accept it in the Fitbit app. Paper and pen next to a $10 scale is better than this.

Needless to say, I'll be returning the Aria Air...

Fitbit used to mean quality, now it means useless and broken.

You have to manually add the weigh in data. Just make note of your scale
reading during weigh in, and then later go into the app where there's an
option to enter other weigh in data (like if you recorded it from a doctor
visit, or while on vacation). A PITA, which I wish Google would address.

Yeah, I made the mistake of transferring my Nest cameras to my Google Account and after a couple of years, the nest app is still way better than the Google Home app. But, after finally getting my Aria 1 scale to connect to my new network, it wouldn’t recognize me. It finally synced my weigh in to me when I manually entered my weight immediately after stepping off the scale. Don’t know if if could be that lucky with the Google App if you haven’t tried it.

What finally worked for me was to delete the app from my phone, reinstall it and re-pair both the tracker and the scale. I also took the batteries out of the scale and reconnected to the home network.  Now everything is working for me and I still have my weight history from my account.  I remembered that I had to do this previously when I got an upgraded tracker, so it seemed worth a try.  I expect from what others are saying that I'll still be out of luck for "guest" weigh-ins.  So far I haven't run into that issue since I have got it sending data to the app again.

Doing a complete wipe and reinstall, as you have suggested, did not work for me.

I had tried complete resets (5 times with 3 different support agents) back in July or sometime earlier this year but was hoping something might have been fixed by now. No luck today either.

I found this on a closed thread and thought it should be shared here. Resets did not work for me when I faced this issue. I had to send a new email invite to use the scale to the email associated with my user (even though I was already added). I never got an email, but the scale magically started registering the weights to my account.

how did you send a new email invite to the scale?
did you remove the scale from your fitbit app?

will i lose my history?
