Disappointed in Fitbit because their technology for the aria is outdated for xfinity system. Was told the only solution is to purchase a new scale ($400+).  Not acceptable when the first scale still works but won’t connect as it should.  Very disappointed in the lack of concern for long time loyal customers. Shouldn’t be required to spend more money for a product to work as advertised.  What stops the new one from having the same problem in a few years?!  IJS 😡

Unfortunately, that's the result changing of wi-fi standards and hardware.  I don't know where you got $400+ for a new scale.

The only one Fitbit now carries is the Aria Air for about $50; it connects via bluetooth to avoid that wi-fi problem, but does not measure body fat %.

But you can find many other scales on Amazon that do claim to measure body fat %, and connect to Fitbit, at very reasonable prices.  I have seen Withings brand mentioned by some here, but am not necessarily recommending it - just one some people have used.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I agree. I really liked my Fitbit Aria (that still works fine as a scale) until it no longer synced with my app. I won’t purchase another Fitbit scale at any price since it seems to have an expiration date. Very disappointing.

Am I reading that effective 8/10/21 the original Arias will no longer connect thru wifi with the app?  That's the date mine stopped syncing.

Our Verizon System went down this week. Repair came and we switched to a new router. Now the Aria won't connect. Terrible customer support. Unacceptable communication. As others are mentioning, the scale works just fine. Talk about a "throw the baby out with the bathwater" mentality. 

Well, will find a way. Hopefully others will utilize this thread with other suggestions. Thanks everyone for your comments. We still have the ability to utilize the Verizon replacement equipment, hopefully we can tie into that, or something....

I’m having the same issue my  Fitbit Aria scale will not sync to the Fitbit app or give BF information anymore. It can only give me my weight and no logging information.  I haven’t decided if I will purchase another one. 
 
I agree it’s disappointing.
