I'm just curious if anyone with an original Aria scale (WiFi) has successfully sync'd their weight to their Fitbit account?
The scale has been working fine for years. No change to our router or Wifi network (which by the way is 11b/WPA2), but now the scale says, "No Sync" after weighing myself. If I take out the battery and put it back in, it says that it's connected to my Wifi on the initial splash message. But each time it tries to upload my weight, it says, "No Sync".
I finally decided to fully reset it, so I took the batteries out for an extended period to go through the setup again. Now it just connects via Wifi and tries to link to my account but fails (no sync again).
I reached out to support and followed their troubleshooting steps. They only concluded that my unit is defective (because their steps still didn't resolve it).
Does anyone else have a working Aria? Or did they disable all Aria's from uploading to the Fitbit servers?

Funny how a lot of people had trouble on the same day. I posted the message I was getting when I log into the App. It states that Bluetooth is unsupported. Thats just wrong. My bluetooth works fine. It links to my FitBit Sense via bluetooth.

For clarity, my last successful sync of my weight was on 1/02/2022. Interestingly enough, when I was talking to support they said they were able to see a connection attempt on 1/24 in my account when I was trying to connect again. So I'm reasonably positive my network connection is fine.

I have not been able to sync my original Aria for a long time. It’s not available in the Fitbit app; only the Aria2 and AriaAir. Suggestions? Thanks!

Mine is doing the same. I have followed all instructions but no success. Is this Fitbit trying to force me to purchase an updated model?

I’m also experiencing the same issues with the first generation Aria which started a couple weeks ago and have attempted to troubleshoot it as you have without success. I wonder if since they have discontinued software updates for this device they have also discontinued syncs and setups. So frustrating! 😡

Same here. My last successful sync was January 24. My scale shows that it is connected to my network, but won’t sync. Has anyone gotten any further information from Fitbit?—It’s evidently their problem.

I have gone back through the set up process. Trying to reconnect to Wi-Fi but received ERR message; the Aria Network is not secure. I believe it is my Wi-Fi not allowing the sync. I’m thinking this could be due to no more security updates available for this device. Thanks everyone for your input!

I have a new Aria Air with the same problem. Sometimes I can get the app to recognize it, other times the connection attempt fails. Restarting the phone will make it possible to connect again, until the next day when stepping on the scale gets no response at all on the phone.

I have the original, mine has periodically had trouble syncing in the past but is ok right now. However, I feel like the scale isn't accurate anymore. I can step on and off several times and get weight differences of 5lbs or more. I pull the feet away from the bottom and try again and again until I get a weight I think is closest to accurate.

Same here. I’ve wasted a few days now trying to fix it and I honestly believe they did something. It connected fine and now I can’t even get my weight without syncing. Thanks for nothing Fitbit. I’ve bought many of your products but I’m done today. I ordered a new digital scale and yours went in the trash. And I’m telling everyone that asks. No one should spend hundreds of dollars on something for you to decide to no longer support it and then lie and say the device must be defective. You suck.

Another product killed by being bought by Google? At least mine still works as a plain dumb scale.

I got a new router in November and it hasn’t synced since then. I tried for two days! Finally called and they told me my scale is obsolete. It’s a scale! I’m not spending more money on a new one. I get an ERR message now and I can’t even weigh myself at all. Very disappointed!

I have an original Aria and have never had a sync problem. This includes after replacing the router twice and changing ISPs once. Making sure the new routers have the same SSID and password meant I never had to change the network settings on the device.

Yes absolutely same problem. It has been fine for years. Cannot get it to sync even though it does show in Fitbit app it is fully charged. So it can see it’s fully charged but it won’t sync? Doesn’t make sense!
