Update 11/8/2019: Hi everyone - this issue has now been resolved. Thanks again for your reports and patience.
Hello Aria Air customers - we are aware of an issue that is currently preventing your Aria Air from syncing properly. If you set up Aria Air after 10/28, you will not be able to sync until this issue is resolved.
We apologize for the inconvenience, and are working to resolve this as quickly as possible. We will update this thread as soon as we have more details on this fix, and appreciate your patience in the meantime.

Hi Peter, they may not be able to do push notifications but we can still uninstall & take out battery and start the process all over....just a thought

So, this is my third attempt at getting my message to stick, here goes!
I believe that - despite the moderators' best efforts on this thread - Fitbit's lack of communication on what is clearly a widespread problem has led me to realise that this product is not sufficiently life-changing enough (manual logging takes seconds) to be worth waiting for to see whether they fix it or not, and I will thus be returning it.

Let’s be clear here. We all want this product to work. That’s why we purchased it. We are having problems with it doing literally the thing we bought it for. So finding a solution is much more preferable than to returning it. Or continuing this ridiculously long forum post about all of us having the same issues and threatening to return this scale.

Its a nice scale I dont think its too much to ask for it to do what is supposed to & sync to the App

Yeah I just found an app that’s called “aria air update”. Ran that and it updated the firmware. Still doesn’t work. Have tried deleting and reinstalling. Tried making sure I’m on 2.4ghz instead of 5ghz router.
just want to know if ANYONE has this thing working as advertised?

Thanks for taking the time to try the steps suggested in this thread, as well for providing more details about your Aria Air's behavior. I understand how you're feeling about your scale not syncing your measurements correctly and I'm sorry that you're going through this situation. This issue has been reported to our team and they're working hard to bring a solution as fast as possible. While I don't have a time frame, let me suggest to keep the Fitbit app up-to-date as some fixes come through updates. Be sure that your feedback hasn't gone unnoticed.

Bought it Sunday. Won’t sync. Doesn’t work. Does less than the cheap one I was replacing. At least that one would show the %bf, etc on the display - the Fitbit Air just shows the weight. If the software issue isn’t resolved by end of week then it’s going back to Target and I’ll buy one from a company with better quality control.

I have all of that in place and still no sync. Spent 45 minutes in a chat with customer service only to then be told that fitbit is “working on the problem”. I have a $70 scale that only does what my old $15 scale will do!

I'm not expecting this to be fixed with an app update. As there is no bluetooth connection it's probably not possible. We probably have to deliver it back to get a new fixed one 😞

I ordered mine online through the Fitbit website, I live in Spain. They told me if I want to return it, I have to pay to send it to Holland. They don't pay for postage/courier as confirmed in their terms and conditions. By the time I sent it by courier, the refund would probably not cover the cost of that. So I am stuck with it, hoping for some sort of app update. Not great customer service from Fitbit when they are selling something that doesn't work on any level!!

Welp. Returned the product and got a weight Guru one. Cost me $39.99. Sorry FitBit. I love the brand, but I can't believe you would release a non working product.

They just emailed me to say they could send a pre paid labell!!!
The guy I was on chat with didn't mention this. When I complained it would cost loads to send he just said that he vould put me through to a troubleshooter!!!!!
