I have also experienced no sync issues since this morning. Have had scale for years with no problem. I’ve tried setup multiple time’s with a couple different networks and each time no sync.

Having the same issue since this morning. I thought it was me but it seems to be widespread.

Of course it just so happens I installed a new mesh network today, but I setup the guest network to be only 2.4GHz and still getting no sync or for me it isn't even finding my networks.  I've tried uninstalling the application and reinstalling. i've removed all batteries for several minutes then put them back in.  Nothing is working.

My Aria won't even find my networks now.  I've tried removing and re-adding my Aria to my account and when it comes time to connect back to the network, it shows nothing in the list of available networks.  I have a dedicated guest account at 2.4GHz and this is the only device that should be connecting to it.  Even if I manually enter my network it tries to connect and comes back with a NO SYNC that scrolls both directions before going back into Setup Active Mode.

Same issue here. Was fine yday and every day for the past several years, and suddenly this morning - "NO SYNC". Tried resetting etc etc, no luck.

After an hour trying to sync came on here and 54 posts in 12 hours - assume it is a Fitbit issue.

Can anyone update?.

My Aria last success syncing is 31 December 2020. Today my first try to use Aria in 2021 and that is it: No sync. Nothing changed: wifi, router, nor some fresh changes to firmware etc. It is simply NOT SYNC. I try to setup one's more and yet a couple times. All setup's steps is performed good until final "NO SYNC".

Definitely it is a some global issue

Hi All - I have the FitBit Aria scale, firmware V39, and have had it for 5 years and it's pretty much worked well.  My husband changed the name of our wireless network yesterday - not the password - and understandably the scale no longer synced.  I went to update to the new WiFi network name and I can't get it to connect. I get through the Setup through "Connecting to network" and then I get the "No Sync."

Would this be the router issue everyone's talked about?  But literally nothing changed except for the name of the wireless network (my husband swears nothing else was changed... yet I wonder if this might be the issue... that it went back to an old 'default' setting or something..."

Any ideas?

It seems to have happened early today. My last good sync was at 10am this morning. now I get a "no sync" error for the first time ever after having the scale for years. It's obviously some sort of Fitbit networking problem. It would be great if the moderators replied and let us know that Fitbit was aware of the problem and was working on it.

I just got off a Live Chat with FitBit. They basically said it's because my router is not a 802.11b ONLY router (it is 802.11b/g/n). I tried to protest that logic and the ended the chat!

I'm having the same issue with my Aria not syncing. No changes and it's connected to my WiFi. Has been working fine until today. Hope there is a solution soon.

They have been saying that for years re the 802.11b - that did not just happen to everyone today.

There is clearly an issue with the Aria scales that has happened in the last 12 hours is so.

The customer service is pretty useless hence they rely on a community forum.

Clearly WiFi radios are not a strength for them. The newest scale is
bluetooth, more consistent than the WiFi tech which keeps evolving and
harder to keep up with.

Thanks for the follow-up.

The icon is wi-if with an x on top. Makes no sense as my network is working perfectly. Also, the scale was working with this network for 4 weeks without a problem. When I run the setup, it fails at the very end where it is supposed to do the link. Right now, the scale is caught in a loop due to this error.

Regards,

Len

Maybe something they could have considered before selling an expensive product that relies on wifi.

Four people have reported my initial comment and thread title - what would the reason be?.

I specifically titled it so people looking for the same issue could quickly detect that there are now 62 people in 15 hours reporting the same issue at this time. A lot of the other comments are in threads started at a much earlier date hence don’t make it clear a lot of people are having the same issue currently.

Thank you for starting such a title.  I was also concerned having posted on another comment that was started maybe last year. Have also had this problem today. Along with, as you mention, a significant number of others. Let’s hope that this draws their attention.

Yeah appreciate this thread, just wish I saw it before troubleshooting forever this afternoon. Really hope Fitbit didn't brick these devices with an update and if they did, they better support us in replacing them.

Same issue with my Aria 1 model since yesterday night Wednesday 6 January 2021. No sync message. No issues before for many years. I didn't change any configuration: still using the same wifi router, with the same password ... I tried to setup again but still get NO Sync message... Look like Fitbit want us to buy a new scale (probably from another brand) 😠

Yes. I spoke to Fitbit too.

They referred me to their online store to purchase a new one. Unbelievable.
