Random "Manual" entries from my Aria to Dashboard

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi. Over the last few weeks my husband and I have noticed that we keep getting random weight entries on our app dashboard accounts that say 'manual'. We don't enter anything manually, -and when we stand on the scales everything looks normal. Any idea why this is happening? Thanks.

This is happening to me too.. Happenned twice so far.

Today the manual entry was a 17.4lb weight loss!  Which of course gets reposted to MyFitnessPal as a loss.

I can tell the difference on the website because the real number has a body fat % and the manual one does not.

I tried today removing any app connections (in settings on we site) that i no longer use or need, in case another app is entering the weight with a number i may have had 3-5 months ago (i was thinner maybe by 17lbs? then).

I also changed my fitbit password.

As posted elsewhere...

FIXED IT!

Finally!

I was having the same problem as well... bogus manual weight entries that auto added themselves to my Fitbit system (app & dashboard) and in turn auto entered in MyFitnessPal, Garmin Connect and/or anything else is "connected" to the Fitbit system.

So, in short, I found a way to fix the problem! Of course, the Fitbit coders should have fixed this problem at the root to begin with, but that, as we all know, is taking ... "some time".

So, here is what I did, and it fixed the problem. Follow the steps in this order:

- Quit all apps that share the weight values (Fitbit, MyFitnessPal, Apple Health and so on)

- Open the Fitbit app, tap on the weight tab (lbs lost)

- Tap on the + in the top right corner to create a MANUAL entry.

- Create a manual entry by entering the same values you had in your last REAL weight in: enter a value for lbs and also a value for % Fat, if your normal auto entires have that.

- Now you should have at the top the latest and correct weight that you MANUALLY just entered; below that you should then have one or more bogus entries; and below those, eventually the actual weight that was entered in your last legit weight AUTO entry.

- Now, delete one by one all the bogus entries, until you "join" the correct weight measurements with nothing in between. In other words, after deleting the bogus entries, you will have your correct weight MANUAL entry on top, and right below that you will have the last AUTO entered correct weight. Of course, the weight you manually entered at the top MUST match the last correct weight in.

- It's done! You can launch all your other apps, give it a few seconds and they will update to the last correct weight.

- Most importantly, the random bogus manual weight entries will NOT come back!

This worked for me and a couple of other individuals, so I decided to post this because I was desperate for help as well. NO MORE RANDOM MANUAL WEIGHTS!

I bet it works for everybody, if not drop a line, I'm curious.
