Scale not turning on after battery change

Hey! This is not a unique problem, it seems,  but after we changed the batteries the scale

won’t turn on. I have cleaned the connections and wiggled them around a little, with no luck. Any suggestions welcome!

Mine comes on but when it gets to the thinking part it says error.

Mine is doing the same - new batteries, doesn't power on

I've had my Aria scale for over 7 years (2014)... I have been using it daily... no problems until I changed the batteries this time  ... I changed the batteries and now I when I step on the scale .. I get STEP OFF ... then THIINKING ... then ERR.   

 

I have changed the batteries in this device several times over the years  .. but this time the ARIA just fails. 

 

I left the batteries out over night and then have replaced the new batteries with another new set of batteries ... same problem 

 

Does any one have any clue as to what is going on and/or how to fix the issue?
