Scale says GUEST about half the time I use it

When I use my scale, probably around half the time it says "Guest" rather than identifying who I am.  I have to manually go into the app and correct this, which is a pain to do every time.  Reading from this thread, this should only happen if my weight fluctuates by a lot - say 10lbs or more.  However, my weight stays roughly the same every time, sometimes within a pound:

There is one other user of this scale, but she's a good 50lbs lighter than me so I doubt it's getting confused.  Is there a way to correct this so I don't have to manually update the record every day?  Thanks!

If your initials don't appear while you weigh yourself, tap hard on the lower right corner until they do.

Not quite sure what you mean.  When I step on the scale, first I see numbers as it narrows in on my weight.  Then, it takes a few seconds and I see the word "GUEST" appear.  Then, it starts "Syncing" (a little arrow icon) to update my account.  At what point do I tap hard on the lower corner?
