Terribly disapointed with the Aria scale and the customer service response

I just got an Aria less than a month ago. My first big disapointment was that it did not measure % body fat which I assumed all Aria scales did.I will take the blame for that, although, it did not clearly state that the one I purchased lacked that ability. Once I received the scale I encountered further issues. First, it would only sporadically sync with my phone. Many a morning, I would just enter my weight by hand so I could get to work. Then this morning, less than a month later, I get on the scale and it will not turn on at all. I contacted support and apparently since I ordered it less than 45 days ago I can ship it back for a refund, but I have to pay for shipping. Wow, really!!! Never again.
