What units do the Fitbit Aria Air use?

Can someone please confirm what units the Aria Air uses? Does 8st 13.6 mean 13 pounds 6 ounces, or 13.6 pounds (where 0.6 of a pound is 8.4 ounces)?

I would expect it would go by what set in phone app, from Today screen:

Other than that, I can't tell you how to read British units.  American pounds goes by pounds and tenths of a pounds, rather than pounds.ounces, I am sure because after decimal point never goes above 9.  Maybe same logic would apply for you.

Or maybe you could set to American pounds to get a reading and convert to know what to expect, then switch back to know the reading.

Or maybe I just made it more complicated for you.

Many thanks, I didn’t realise American pounds are divided into tenths and that explains it perfectly!

@palomino698   Your pound is the same as my pound.  We just got rid of the stone.  Our pound is divided into the same 16 ounces.  The scale displays stone, pounds, and fractions of a pound.  So yes, that 13.6 is 13.6 pounds, not 13 pounds 6 ounces.

Like @LZeeW  says.

But also American pounds are sometimes divided into 16 ounces, but would be specified as such.  If there i a decimal point, it is understood and tenths of a pound.  So could be written as 10.5 lbs. or 10 lb 8 oz. same thing.

Yeah we British like to complicate things! When I read someone’s weight in pounds I have to mentally divide it to work out stones… and we use feet and inches for height. Medical settings record them in metric, kg and cms respectively, but I doubt many people “think” metric measurements… maybe I do when I’m cooking!

Thank you for your time explaining this. I love my Aria scale nearly as much as my Fitbit 💕
