When I bought my Aria 2 scales I purchased them purely for the weight and BMI features. It was only when trying to setup my Aria 2 that I was aware that I needed the Fitbit app to complete the setup process. I have absolutely no interest at all in utilizing the community features of the Fitbit, I merely downloaded the app to input my age weight and height and setup via Bluetooth. Like many others here the WiFi setup just wont work, yet syncing via Bluetooth was effortless. This therefore poses a huge question: why can’t I use the Bluetooth feature to directly communicate between the scales and my phone to get weight, BMI and body fat % information to bypass the WiFi “requirement” entirely?

Only the Aria Air can sync with bluetooth. The Aria 2 requires a wifi connection.
