Will this scale have the % body fat metric added in the future?  I was expecting it to have this option.

Sorry, but hose cannot be added by firmware; they have hardware requirements not included.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

@Crazy_Al as @JohnnyRow mentioned above, Aria Air doesn't have the capability to measure body fat percentage. So this is something that cannot be added through a firmware update in the future.

This is disappointing. I was expecting to retain all the same features of the Aria scale I replaced. Does Fitbit still sell the Aria 2 that had this feature built in?

@LcubedDC  Aria Air is the only scale Fitbit still sells, though it is possible you could find the Aria 2 from other sellers.

But there are other companies making scales with body fat % that they so will sync to Fitbit.  Withings is one I have heard of but not necessarily recommending it, or even saying it works with Fitbit.

Searching Amazon for "wireless body fat scale", I see several that claim to link to Fitbit app at very reasonable prices.

 

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
