We used to love our Aria scale. But now even though it has new batteries and sits on an even wood floor, our scale now wakes us up with random messages like “step on”, step off and the light on the scale remains on the entire night which uses up batteries quickly and keeps us awake. We’ve tried removing batteries and resetting, reconnecting to our WiFi and nothing seems to work. Other than turning the Aria upside down. Please help!

@M0mmybear1108 Welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your Aria scale turns on by itself even though you have tried new batteries and resetting your scale. I'd like you to try one more workaround: Please remove the batteries and clean the contacts with a cotton swab and a little bit of alcohol. This will remove any dust that the contacts accumulate. After this, put the batteries back in and see if the issue gets fixed.
Keep me posted on the outcome!

I am having the same issue. Just walking in the room makes it wake up. I put in new batteries 2 weeks ago and am already to half full batteries.

Is your Aria scale sitting on tile, linoleum, wood floor or carpeting?

My scale keeps turning on by itself even after I cleaned the contacts and put in new fresh batteries. It is sitting on a tile floor, but i have tried over surfaces as well and it still does the same thing. Do you have any other suggestions? Could this be a warranty issue? Any help would be appreciated as i am spending a fortune in batteries.
