Fitbit band with medical alert symbol

I am a Type1 diabetic, and my doctor wants me to wear a medical alert identification at all times.  Big problem:  They're all UGLY!  I wish Fitbit would make and sell Fitbit bands that include the medical alert symbol.  Then we could "kill 2 birds with 1 stone!"
I wrote to Fitbit to make this request, and they suggested I come to a discussion board to see if others have the same wish.  I hope LOTS of you would be interested, and then maybe they'd do this for us!

There are no watches available that do this as far as I am aware. The only
way a fitbit or other watch would be able to do it was for the person in fib
to send a text and it will appear instantly as a message on you ionic screen
with vibration, as long as you have your notifications switched on which of
course your partner would not really be able to do if it was happening. I
also had a look for apps and although they make them, again a person has to
initiate/send an emergency message! Here is a phone app and as you will
see again no good as you are asking for an automatic notification. Sorry I
can¹t help more 😞 It would be good to get an app designer to make one that
notified named persons should there be a problem!.

I am also a Type 1 Diabetic and I wear a Fit it Alta, with the watch band. This has been my idea for sometime...there are wholes on the band that I don’t use based on the size of my wrist. I’ve thought, in the same way CROCs wearers use the holes in the shoes to but plastic pin like buttons to personalize their shoes. Perhaps something like that could be used in the holes on my Fitbit band. Perhaps Fitbit could use the symbol on the IPhone, indicating to emergency savers that my iPhone contains my medical info.

Hi @Jaycee2. You have a great idea ... and it got me googling. I found one here on Amazon. Not sure if it will fit. But I ordered one for myself and will let you know how it works out when it comes.

Absolutely would love a medical ID AND life alert for Fitbit!!! I’m a healthy, active 62 years old, live alone & just spent a week in the hospital bc I fainted and split my head open on my cement floor. I almost could not make it to the other side of the room for my phone to call 911.

I have one from MyID - it's perfect sleeve for my FItbit Charge 2 HR. Love it. Got the red one and a white band so it pops. https://shop.getmyid.com/products/myid-sleeve-medical-id

It seems like Road Id no longer makes bands for FitBit.  Is that true?

You may be right. Zero result to a “Fitbit” search on their site.

I believe so, but, but I am not 100% sure.  You can probably find something similR on eBay

Another thought ... these clips can fit on Fitbit bands of various sizes. And they are not expensive.

Also, Road ID is still in business with several options for medical alerts.
