So what will actually happen if you wear two fitbits at the same time? I have searched the forums and google for an answer and all I have found is "don't do it". I want to know exactly why and what happens if you would wear two that are synced on the same account. Would the steps double, would they self correct for having the same steps at the same time?
My my background is that I originally used a charge hr and I was quite happy with it and found it to be very accurate all around but it started to randomly drop the heart rate all the time (all other features seemed ok though) so it needed to be replaced and was out of warranty. I decided to get a blaze instead of a charge2 or searching around for somewhere that still carried the charge because of its more advance features. Since getting the blaze I have had nothing but problems, because the thing is completely inaccurate. The sleep function is horrible (to the point where I have gone back to using my semi-functioning charge at night at it still works better) and the distance calculation only gives me .5-.75 miles for every mile I actually walk (reguardless of wether it's measuring by gps or stride).
So so what will happen if I wear both my blaze and my charge? They both seem to only half function at this point on their own so what would happen if I just tried them both?

The official fitbit line is:
"If your account has multiple trackers and you forget to take one off before putting on another, rest assured we’ll reconcile the overlapping data to present the most accurate information possible on your dashboard. For example, if one of your trackers is using GPS and another is not, your dashboard chooses the GPS data when calculating total distance since GPS provides a more accurate distance measurement than step counting alone. However, the more overlapping data that exists on your account, the more likely it is that your dashboard's accuracy will suffer. For best results, do not wear more than one tracker at a time and sync each tracker before taking it off and putting on another."

When I have experimented with this I found the results unpredictable and hard to explain. They certainly don't double up, in fact I'm pretty sure I lost steps as a result. By all means give it a try. If you do then I'd be interested in hearing how you get on.

Here’s my experience: I try to go to the gym daily but only do a stationary bike or treadmill. I spend an hour there....10 miles on the bike or 3 miles on the treadmill or a combination of the two. For years I only used a One, worn at my waist. When I got my Charge 2 I found it did a very bad job at recording my gym steps. Now I sync to my C, leave it at home and wear the one to the gym and sync it before I swap back to the C. Works pretty well. Recently I moved to a C3 and the syncing problems are crazy. My solution has to been to have the One only on my iPhone, the C3 only on my iPad Pro. Problems still exist. I have to reboot the iPad once or twice a day to get it to sync with C3. I honestly don’t know if the syncing problems belong to Fitbit or Apple....or to Bluetooth which seems to be an ancient technology that hasn’t really improved much since we all started using it. Fortunately I don’t mind tinkering (much) when things go haywire...and while I’m no David Sedaris, at 83 I can still manage to get my 10K steps most days.
