250 step activity goal has different data on blaze and app(and online)

Hey Guys,

I was wondering could I confirm if this is a known issue? I can't find anything about it in the forums.

  • I have 10 hour activity goal set from 8am - 5pm
  • Currently my watch is showing 8/10 hours complete (every hour from 8am this morning until 3pm)
  • After syncing, the app and online are showing 7/10 with 2pm missing (so the app is showing dots for 8-1, then a dot for 3)
  • Re-checking the watch and it still shows the correct 8 hours.
  • I know I did the steps that hour as I was tracking them with the watch - why is the app not pulling in the exact data from the watch?

I have had this happen 3 or 4 times, it seems to be when I have a streak of all hours since 8am, it will then randomly skip one on the app and then log the rest. The watch always shows the correct data.

Would really appreciate some help on this - it's frustrating to not have the app show the correct data.

Thanks!

I have had that happen a few times, my Blaze shows 5/5 active hours, but when I sync, the app will miss one.  It's only happened a couple times.  I make sure I go over the 250, just to be safe.

This issue has been raised before. I'm trying to find the relevant community posts but no luck so far. This also happens regularly to me - from what I remember, it's not so much how many steps you take but when you actually reach the hourly goal. I think that if you get 250 steps close to the hour, it won't sync properly (I reached 250 at 9:59 this morning and the app says I didn't make it for the hour, but the Blaze says I did).

I agree there should be no reason why discrepancies should exist between the watch and the data that is synced, regardless of when you complete the hourly goal. If your watch says you made it, then it should be so. It's irritating to me too, and I hope this is fixed soon.

Thanks for the responses guys. So I just tested out these theories for the last hour I track in the day (5-6pm). I completed 250 according to my watch at about 5:50 - got the little animation saying 10/10 hours etc and the counter on the watch went green. I then synced with my phone (so we are plus maybe 10 steps to walk to my phone at this point). When I synced it still hadn't registered that I had done the 5pm dot. Walked around for 30 or so more steps, synced, the 5pm dot is now pink.

So I think (in this specific case anyways) it does seem to be that for some unknown reason you actually need to have done more then 250 steps for it to register on the app.

This doesn't make any sense to me. Definitely seems like a valid bug.
