250+ steps on fitbit, but not on App

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I will get the alert saying I achieved the 250 steps in an hour on my fitbit, but when I open the app, it does not count the hour as achieved, but rather leaves a grey box instead of a red one.

This is very frustrating as this is one of my favorite features of the fitbit. This has only been happening for a week or so, with 3 out of 4 work mornings not counting the 8 o'clock hour.

Mine has been doing the same thing since May 4th.  The first two emails I received they tried to tell me how to read my device and the dashboard.  I even sent pictures and screen shots and they still sent a reply showing me how to read the device...I'm not an idiot!!!!

They told me it was a software issue that is known but it still isn't fixed!!! GPS also sucks I'm going back to Polar!!!

This has been happening to me since I got the Blaze months ago.  Fitbit continues to say "working on it."  But nothing yet.  Agree that it's very frustrating when you're trying to set goals.

This has been happening ever since the feature was available on the Blaze and it is extremely frustrating. What really annoys me is that Fitbit keep bringing out new devices instead of ensuring their current ones are working correctly.

Mine had been working fine since I got it in July 2016, but over the past few weeks the app shows hours that I didn't make 250 steps when the Blaze shows that I did.

I wish they'd get this issue fixed!

Mine has been doing tthe same and it is very annoying! What's the point of having the goals set if you can't rely on the device to track it, why bother with the device at all?? I hope they fix the issue soon!!!

Hello all, I hope you are doing great.

Our engineers have now fixed this issue! It should also be a retroactive fix, so if you go backwards in your hourly activity graph, the correct dots should be filled in. Please verify that your Fitbit app is updated.

Hope to hear from you soon. Woman Happy

I've been having the same issue as everyone else.  It says that it was resolved, but still having problems.  I know I didn't get all nine of the hours on Friday and it says I did.  I made sure to get all nine hours yesterday the app says I missed the 3:00 hour.  The tracker says I got 5 hours so far today, the app says I have only four.  Plus the tiles seem to "move" when it is trying to sync with the tracker.  This has been happening since last month.

Not resolved (happened to me today already again) and certainly nothing retroactive fixed.  😞

Fitbit giveth and fitbit taketh away.  A few days ago, I had a perfect day with the 250 steps and my fitbit gave me the semicircle display of green dots.  My iphone app showed me missing an hour in the middle of the day.

Today, my Blaze showed that I missed an hour 8-9 AM, but my app showed that I got that hour.  So today it gave me back the perfect day I messed the other day.

All I can think of is that the watch and the iphone times are a little bit off, and I must have gotten the steps when the phone was a tiny bit slower than the watch.  I had just gotten to church at 9 and sat down.  Does that make sense?????????????????????

I'm not sure what apps your using, or if the web based dashboard shows correctly, but I know this is a known glitch in the Android app that is being looked into by Fitbit.

It amazes me that when the app is mentioned the device the app is on is failed to be mentioned.

This issue still isn't fixed.  I synced the iPhone app with my FitBit Blaze several times before taking the attached picture.  Note that the Blaze shows 7 hours but the iPhone app shows 6.

Issue is definitely not fixed, and the fix they mentioned didn't retroactively fix anything on my dashboard.

I hit my goal pretty regularly  (the only time I don't is when I take it off to go swimming or boating) and it tells me all the time that I miss it.  Just today my watch says I hit my goal, but my dashboard says I only did 10.  This is one of my favorite features because I have a desk job.

That's correct @Bek up, see my last post. Nobody has said that it was fixed.

The confusion came because in May someone who is a moderator did state that the issue was resolved and that the fix was retroactive.

I’m getting this as well. 250 steps for 8 hours on my Luxe but sadly the app only shows 4 of 8 hours with 250 steps.  This is an irritating flaw!
