3 days and low battery warning

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I'm not getting anywhere closer to 5 days before I get the low battery warning and need to recharge. Is anyone getting 5 days? I'm just wearing this daily and not doing extensive workout tracking with it, just bike rides.

Maybe try restarting it? I'm getting close to 6 or even 7 days on a charge so far.

I've been surprised by the battery life I've experienced so far. I received it on March 2, and charged it to full. Wore it through till Monday evening where I charged it because it was about 5 days. I have yet to see a Low Battery warning and it's been almost a week. I run with Call notifications, 2 Silent alarms and recording a workout daily for about 30-45min.

Did you fully charge it the first day you received it?  Mine ran for 5 days and that's because i used the fitstar and other functions everyday.

Yep. I got it in the mail and plugged inn the charger as soon as my computer booted up. Set it up/added it to my App and then let it sit to charge. The charging time is longer than the Charge HR was (1hr max was the Charge HR and this seems to be around 1:30) but the life span is is far better than the 4 days I was getting out of the Charge.

Hello @SaladSmell@MakMak@KevinOfSpades and @kawaiiko it's great to have you here! 🙂 @SaladSmell the battery life of the tracker is affected by your interaction with the tracker. I would like to share some tips to maximize the battery life of your Blaze:

1. Each alarm you add up to the maximum of 8 reduces battery life by a small percentage.
2. Quick View causes the screen to light up whenever you turn your wrist towards you, turning this setting off may prolong battery life.
3. Frequently using music control may reduce battery life.
4.If you have call, text, or calendar notifications enabled, receiving a large volume of notifications (many hundreds) reduces battery life.
5.If you're syncing with any Fitbit app, the All-Day sync option may reduce battery life on both the tracker and mobile device.
6. Charging your tracker in extreme heat or cold may reduce battery life.

Let me know if this helps! 🙂

But you shouldn't have to turn everything off to get 5 days of wear. Not cool. I have almost everything off. Notifications and I have it dim. I am having to charge it every 2-3 days. I just got mine last Monday. Love the features. Would be nice to use them and get a decent battery life.

@Asofte, I use notifications, auto brightness, and occasionally use the connected GPS. The only thing I don't bother with is the silent alarms. I'm not having any problem with battery life. It may be specific to your device.

I find the battery life better than the charge HR. I am really quite happy with it. I have been charging about every 4 days but have yet to get a low battery notification.

I am currently on my 6th day following my initial charge and still on medium battery although I expect it to hit low today.  Using notifications, silent alarms, tracking excercise and all day syncing.  Only thing I haven't been using frequently is music control as found it too awkward.

@Asofte welcome to the Fitbit Community!  I use notifications, music control and the battery lasts up to 6 days, as @MakMak mentioned it can be an issue related to your device, I would recommend to contact customer support so they can review your tracker's back-end information and provide you a one on one troubleshooting experience. @mcrmama and @Aeneades thanks for your cooperation 🙂

Keep me posted!

I'm getting about 3.5 days out of the Blaze, which is what I got from my Charge HR, so hadn't thought this unnormal.  Reading these comments I'm thinking I should be getting a longer battery life...! (and yes, all the options I can turn off/not use I have done):smileyfrustrated:

As with my Charge HR that I had previous to the Blaze, I put it on the charger when I take a shower. So its pretty much always charged. A couple weekends ago my charger stopped charging and would no longer charge my Blaze. While waiting for the replacement to arrive via overnight shipping, my Blaze died after 3.5 days normal use.

You might want to call Support.  You should be getting at least 5 days.  Maybe you have a defective one.  I got mine on a Saturday, and received a low battery notification on Wednesday.  I do not use the call/text/calendar function, but do use the quick view and pretty much the other features.
