Active minutes not accurate

Hi Everyone, so yesterday I did a 45 minute workout which my blaze picked up and has been logged as a workout but on my active minutes it tells me I have only done 14 minutes............. I thought I would leave it overnight to see if it corrected itself and have synced it manually a couple of time but still isn’t correct............ I haven’t had this issue before? Can someone advise me on what I need to do? Thank you all in advance!

Hi there @Paige-M. Good to see you in the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

I'm sorry you're having problems with the active minutes that are being counted from your activity 😕

Now, I'd like to let you know that when it comes to active minutes, it's very important for you to maintain the same intensity throughout the full activity. In situations like that, when you don't get the same amount of time you spent on your activity as active minutes, that means that at some point, you lowered the intensity and that's why not all the minutes on the activity are awarded.

If you think that is not the case, you could try giving your Blaze a restart and see if that makes any difference. You can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot.

Hope this helps and if you need anything else, I'm always around!

@Paige-M@FerdinandFitbit  I am also experiencing an issue with active minutes not recording correctly.

So far today I have cycled and walked for a total of 99 active minutes using connected GPS, but active minutes on my Blaze has remained at 36 minutes.  I think this problem started yesterday afternoon.

I have reset my Blaze (twice) and restarted my phone and Bluetooth with no improvement.

Thank you for your reply @FerdinandFitbit

I dont think that is the issue as this is the same workout I have done many times and have had no issues before.

I have tried resetting but no change.... I didn’t have any issues with active minutes yesterday so I will just keep an eye on it to see if it happens again!

@Marc_PL I’m glad it isn’t just me then, hopefully it will be resolved if others have had issues. As I said I didn’t have any issues with it yesterday so hopefully it won’t happen again!

Hi there @Marc_PL. Good to see you in the Community  Forums! 🙂

I'm sorry you're also having problems with your active minutes not being accounted accurately also.

Thanks a lot for restarting your Blaze and your phone and Bluetooth. Now, doing that, most likely will not make any difference for the past activity records but should help for the future.

Also as I explained before as well, this will depend on the intensity throughout the whole activity. It's extremely important that you keep the same intensity through the whole session in order for those minutes to count as active minutes. If you are doing your activity with a certain intensity and suddenly you stop and get back to it after a while, those minutes even when they were part of the activity, will not count as active minutes.

Hope that makes sense and if you have more questions, let me know!

@Paige-M, thanks for getting back and for trying what I suggested. Please, do keep an eye on it and see how it goes. Hopefully it will not happen again!

@FerdinandFitbit  Well I have ridden the same 12-mile route with similar intensity everyday for the past five weeks and active minutes has always been around 45 minutes for this activity.

Today my ride logged as 25 active minutes out of the 36 active minutes still showing on my Blaze, despite a further 1.5 mile bike ride and a 1.10 mile walk.
