 Blaze is only syncing five contact off my iPhone 8 and one Facebook friend?  Set up looks correct on phone and app. Any advice please?

A warm welcome to the Community @mlwwarranwood. If you want to add friends to your Fitbit account, I recommend taking a look at the How do I connect with friends on Fitbit? article, where you will be able to see step by steps how to do it and what you need to do it.
