Depends on the aesthetics you want. The Blaze offers so many options in terms of changing bands and looking like a real watch. There are even many many different third-party bands as well and it really adds to the variability of the watch look. With the Alta you are stuck with the band color and material that you choose.
Also, the Blaze offers afew different colored watch faces. If you want to save the $70 though and don't worry about extra bands and looks, then go for the Alta.'
The main difference though is the HR monitor. If you want the HR monitor then you need to go with the Blaze.

Not true. The Alta also has removeable bands, and one can buy different colours of different materials - classic, leather, metal.

really? I don't see it on the product page or the product manual....so you can interchange the band just like the Flex? I guess you can since they sell the bands separately....but either way it is just like the Flex in terms of the look, with a little upgrade to leather or metal for the band.
Still, if you want the Heart monitor then for sure go 100% with the Blaze. If you had a flex and was happy then you might want the Alta. I love the Blaze , the color notifications is so much better than the pixel numbers on the Alta for me. If the Alta had HR I would have possibly considered it.....but it is really just a Flex in a nicer sleek look.
