As for charging i would contact fitbit an have them the a look at the trackers back end.
A couple of things about lithium batteries they don't like heat. Don't keep them, on a charger too long, 2 hours max.. They don't like to be under 30% or over 80%. Frequent short charges are better than fewer long charges. Think 30 -40 minutes every couple of days.
Now if the battery isn't lasting, sometimes letting it completely die and recharge a few times in a row helps.
