I upgraded from a charge HR to a blaze and for the most part I love it. I'm a nurse and I have to count heart rates and respirations so I need the second hand and my watch to stay displayed for 30 to 60 seconds. Can I change the amount of time in settings? I don't need it displayed full time, just longer than 10 seconds. It's really hard to coins when you're holding a stethoscope and counting and your display goes dark. if you tell me I can't change the amount of time and you change it on future models then I'm out $200 because I just bought this blaze about a month ago and didn't realize I wouldn't be able to do that. Well, even so, you should make them nurse friendly so we can count heart rates and respirations without the display going dark so fast. 30 seconds to a minute is how long we need.

@Sms3920 Unfortunately, there is not a way to adjust how long the screen stays on.

Medic here, I had the same issue.
I just resigned to gently touching the face of the watch a couple times to keep it on. The screen times out at 10 seconds even if you're running a workout tracker from the watch itself. My trick is to pick a starting spot, such as at the zero second mark for example, then just remember to touch the watch face whenever I SEE it hit one of the 5 second tick marks. Since I'm counting heartbeats in my head obviously, the indicator for when to tap needs to be purely visual so I don't mess up the count 😉
The other option is to just get a cheap stop watch to keep in your pocket, or a cheapo digital watch to wear on the other wrist while at work. I guess there's a third option of just putting your Blaze on the patient for a minute 😉

Unfortunately there is a lot wrong with the Blaze which really discounts it from being a viable fitness / smart watch. Shame really as I really do like it, but probably would have selected a different device if I knew what I know about it now.
In your case, you could make use of the countdown feature. The countdown increments in 5sec intervals though, so if you're happy with 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55 and 60 second counts, you can set up the countdown start before you begin counting heart rates and it will vibrate to indicate once the time is up.
No need to keep watching the screen as you know the interval you setup and once it vibrates you can silence it when it is convenient.
